From the list of names given to us by the neighboring farmer, Vic had telephoned and made some appointments. One by one the former students arrived at the Old Birrego School, curious about what we are doing here, and perhaps even suspicious of artists making art about their old school.
But after awhile they understood that Vic and Sarah have moved to live here full time, that they had restored their old disused school and made it their bedroom, and were opening their home – their former school – for them to visit and remember.
They brought with them precious gifts.
