Visited the Narrandera Museum and Libraries to dig up something – anything on the Old Birrego School. Nothing substantial seemed to have been uncovered this day, but sometimes we never know the signs and meanings of our encounters until much later on. At quarter to five on a Friday, a broad shouldered optometrist in the main street of Wagga Wagga offered to fix my glasses on the spot. She found frames in her shop that almost fitted my existing lens, then cut it ever so slightly so it fitted snug.

At the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery was a launch of the residency program and I am announced as the first artist to take part.
